North Melbourne youngster Jackson Archer has suffered a season-ending blow, tearing his ACL during the Kangaroos pre-season training over the weekend.
As reported by AFL.com.au’s Cal Twomey, the 23-year-old returned alongside teammates to recommence pre-season training on Thursday, spending just two days on the track before suffering a significant knee injury on Saturday.
Last season, Archer, son of legendary Roo Glenn, only managed three games due to repeat injuries. Scans have confirmed that he will now require a full knee reconstruction and won’t return to play until 2027.
Archer has managed just 26 games in four seasons with North Melbourne.
