Suns B&F: Brownlow Medallist narrowly does the double
Brownlow Medallist Matt Rowell won his first Gold Coast Suns club champion award on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old backed up his mammoth 2025 Brownlow triumph to poll 72 votes, edging out previous Suns champion and club captain Noah Anderson (71) by one vote.
Another dual winner in Touk Miller (70) was a further vote behind in third.
Bailey Humphrey (61) finished fourth and yet another two-time winner, Sam Collins (59), rounded out the top five.
Other award winners on the night included Rowell who also won the David Swallow Award as the players’ player, Humphrey was named the People First Bank Emerging Player, Collins was named player of the Suns’ first ever finals series, and Will Graham won the Hostplus Most Professional gong.
