SEN WA Breakfast’s Adam Simpson and Tim Gossage have undertaken the ladder predictor task for the opening six rounds of the 2025 AFL season.
The former West Coast coach and veteran broadcaster made their forecasts based on what they believe will happen early in the upcoming campaign.
First up is Richmond, North Melbourne, West Coast, Adelaide, Essendon and Melbourne with the rest of the clubs to come in the coming weeks.
Richmond
Simpson: “I’ve got them 0-6, so last at the moment.”
Gossage: “Same, I’ve got them not winning a game in their first six games.”
North Melbourne
Simpson: “They need to start winning some games. I’ve got them 12th at 3-3.”
Gossage: “I’ve got them 15th at 1-5 after six rounds.”
West Coast
Simpson: “Their list is more evolved than Richmond and North, but they’re working through a new coach. I’ve got them 16th at 2-4. I think they beat the Bombers and they win Round 1 (against Gold Coast).”
Gossage: “I’ve got them 17th at 1-5 winning one game over the Gold Coast in Perth.”
Adelaide
Simpson: “I think they’re still on the way up. Gather Round plays a part so I’ve got them second at 4-2.”
Gossage: “I’ve got them 3rd at 4-2.”
Essendon
Simpson: “They’re in their third year of a new era. There’s some growth to come. I’ve got them 2-4.”
Gossage: “I’ve got them 10th at 3-3.”
Melbourne
Simpson: “The off-field stuff is creeping in which you don’t want. It will come down to health. I’ve got them 5th at 4-2.”
Gossage: “I’ve got them 7th at 4-2.”
