Will Jordan injury casts doubt over All Blacks availability
Star Crusader Will Jordan's Super Rugby season-ending injury could also impact the start of his Test campaign, believes former All Black Israel Dagg.
The outside back is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a recurrence of a calf injury during last weekend's Chiefs match.
Dagg, who also played at No. 15, knows all too well the effects of a calf injury.
The 66-Test international struggled with that very ailment throughout the 2015 season leading up to the World Cup, and ultimately missed out on selection.
“It lingered for a lot longer than four to six (weeks)," Dagg said on Sport Nation’s Scotty & Izzy on Wednesday.

“When I got back I just never really had that confidence to be able to explode off the mark, leap up when I needed to get some high ball.
“I'm not saying it's as hard as that, but I just think it's a lot worse than probably people think when you've got a high explosive athlete like Will Jordan.”
With a massive All Blacks season looming, Dagg fears Jordan won’t completely recover in time for Dave Rennie's maiden All Blacks outings in the inaugural Nation Championships.
“I would be relatively surprised if he's able to get back and play in that July series against France and Italy. So, I think it's watch this space.”
New All Blacks coach Rennie is expected to announce his first squad on June 22 ahead of the first Test against France in Christchurch on July 4.
