Who the coaches missed and Round 10’s Most Damaging Player
Who did the coaches miss in Round 10?
Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne has assessed which players were overlooked in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.
See who the coaches missed below:

Shaun Mannagh (Geelong)
“I reckon Shaun Mannagh has featured in ‘Who did they miss’ quite often,” Hoyne said.
“He is absolutely flying.
“Number 4 for score involvements of all small forwards in the competition this year.
“He’s gonna be on the fringe of the top 10 players in the competition.”
James Harmes (Western Bulldogs)
“James Harmes (is) flying at the moment.”
“Third-highest rated player on the ground, having his career-best season.
“Him and Ollie Dempsey (are) head and shoulders above any other wingers in the competition on the ratings.
“What a great recruit.”
Trent Rivers (Melbourne)
“We talk about brains and brawn, he is a brains player,” Hoyne said.
“Highest-rated player on the ground… didn’t get a vote.
“What he does from a ball-use side of things is superb.
“The third-highest rated player at Melbourne this season behind Max Gawn and Jake Bowey.”
Rowan Marshall and Callum Wilkie (St Kilda)
“Disappointing performance (by St Kilda) but I thought Rowan Marshall and Callum Wilkie couldn’t have done any more.”
“Callum Wilkie didn’t get recognised by the coaches, Rowan Marshall did.
“That was actually (Callum Wilkie’s) highest-rated game of his career.
“Did everything he possibly could – used it well, defensive actions, ball winning.
“It was superb.
“So, well done to Callum Wilkie in a disappointing day for the Saints.”
Hoyne also revealed the round’s Most Damaging Player (MDP).
Noah Anderson, highest-rated player for the weekend,” Hoyne said.
“His second-highest rated game of his career.
“No player had greater impact with how they used (the ball).
“(He) absolutely dimes out there at Darwin.
“His highest-rated game of his career was last year, Round 10 in Darwin as well.”
