Who are the three best kicks in footy? Cornes and King make their picks
Who are the best kicks in football?
Whether it’s nailing short kicks, finding targets with searching long balls or hitting a leading forward inside 50, some of the AFL’s elite stand above the rest.
Using just the eye test instead of raw statistics, David King and Kane Cornes named their top three kicks in the league currently.
While the best ball users can be broken down by what type of kick is used, Cornes and King’s picks were all-encompassing and they explained their choices on SEN Breakfast.

King: “Is Nasiah (Wanganeen-Milera) the best kick in footy?”
Cornes: “Someone asked me that the other day. I personally think that Dan Houston is the best kick in football, that's my personal opinion. But it depends on what kind of kick.”
King: “Give us your top three. Definitely, Nasiah is in there, Houston is a good one and I’d say, Jeremy Cameron.”
King: “I still think Nick Daicos, give Nick Daicos the football anywhere between 60m and the goal and rarely does he miss.
“He has maximum damage per kick, he can miss a few in and around stoppages, but everyone can because of the pressure and heat around the stoppage so your kicking efficiency goes down.
“But give him time and space running inside forward 50 and he’s like Garry Ablett Jr, they do not miss.
“So, he has to be in there, and I love the Bont – not his goalkicking, but his field kicking and his decision-making is a good one.”
King’s top three

  • Dan Houston (COL)
