What every opposition club must have ready for Nick Daicos in 2025

Gerard Healy is ready to lambast any team who doesn’t tag Collingwood superstar Nick Daicos in 2025.
The 22-year-old was the Magpies’ best player once again in their match-sim against Brisbane and Gold Coast on Thursday night, and Healy believes every opposition side must have a dedicated tagger ready to target him this season.
“I hear about structures, and I hear about methodology, etc… but every club’s now had the whole off-season to come up with a structure with a tagger in, and a structure with a tagger out,” Healy said on SEN’s Sportsday.
“If Nick Daicos runs around by himself in any game this year, I think we should have a royal commission.
“He is so devastating with the football, and he can become even more devastating, but if you put some pressure on him his ball use drops away, a bit like anybody.
“We’ve revolutionised the game over the last two years. We’re actually going to go forward quickly and try and score, which is fantastic, that’s amazing.
“Do you reckon we could go back even further into the dark ages and come up with a tagger, and a good player, instead of getting 35 and 45 Brownlow votes, he actually has to work a bit harder, and you limit his damage?”
The Magpies will take on the Tigers in their AAMI Community Series game at Ikon Park tomorrow night.
