Wednesday best bets from Luke & Taggart (27/08)
Cam Luke & David Taggart have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Sandown & Randwick Kensington in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
SANDOWN
Race 2 | 5. Yamashita' Gold
This is easier than last start where he should have finished second and closer to Esha. Again will need a little bit of luck today from an inside gate but he did run probably his best race here in a prelude. There is no doubt this is an open race with a few debutants making it even more tricky and Pure Passion will be mighty hard to beat but I’m wiht the fit colt who with some luck can run a really nice race at each way odds!
Race 3 | 4. Mckeyla
Flies first up up and won a jump out. Drawn nicely to get a nice trail into the race and the 1000m is perfect. All that being said I think she is actually just better than these. Had a great prep last time in and was even placed in a group race. Had to carry the weight but excuses for others. Fave drawn 1 will need luck and think lovelycut needs further to show her best. One out in early quaddie!!
Race 7 | 16. Butternut Princess
Surely it’s third time lucky! Scratched and then ZERO luck last week!!! It’s a tougher race but based on how she should have won last start I have no concern. She carries no weight and a backside should be found ok to get a trail into the race by Everything Counts. Mr Verse has the Amusing form which stacks up well but will be behind Butternut Princess and need to go past her which I think will be tough with her light weight. Only two in the quaddie.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON
Race 2 | 1. Stormland
Comes out of a nice race before being spelled and ran pretty well without luck resuming where the winner ran well at Moonee Valley Saturday. Based on that run no issue with the heavy. Braith Nock takes the claim which is a bonus. Johnny has been good at two career starts both on heavy and understand the support but I think Storm has more class and can either sit OSL or get the fence and be in front.
Race 4 | 4. Bright Red
Was really good when knocked by The Years last start but meets him way better at the weights and is drawn better today! Heqvy obviously no issue and she is the one they have to beat. Convergent is the danger. Hit the line really well last start over 1500m and looks like will enjoy the 1800m but I’m with the tougher more experienced girl here!!
Race 7 | 5. Lady Boss
Has been knocking on the door and little less break between runs help today as do the blinkers. Loves the slop! Will go forward without a huge amount of annoyance and probably sits outside Burj. Blinkers on and fitness on her side has her on top as she will be too tough late!

David Taggart
SANDOWN
Race 2 | 7. Butternut Princess
Has been knocking on the door of late and she should fine this slightly easier to what she’s been racing in. Draws soft, gets a 3 kilos claim for an inform apprentice and is obviously going to be hard to beat.
Race 6 | 5. Nepravda
Was no match for the winner when she resumed but she did fight all the way to the line. She will find this easier and she strips fitter for that first up hit out. Will put herself into the race and is a great each-way play.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON
Race 1 | 1. Superata
Resumes and he is an interesting runner. Had only the one run and that was in Victoria at Cranbourne which was a very hot maiden won by Lofty Arch albeit 4.5 in third. Draws out that little and hopefully they can run on as he looks a good each-way play.
