"We get exposed": Lions veteran's honest appraisal following weekend spray
Dayne Zorko has turned heads over the weekend after he was seen verbally berating his Brisbane Lions defensive unit during the club’s 94-75 comeback win over the West Coast Eagles.
After conceding the first five goals of the game in the home contest, Zorko called out members of the Lions’ back half, specifically directing his spray at co-captain Harris Andrews.
Following the spray during the quarter time break, Brisbane managed 13 goals to West Coast’s six, coming from behind to claim what should have been a breezy four points.
Zorko spoke with SENQ Breakfast, outlining his frustration with the apparent exposure within the back half.

“Obviously it was hot,” Zorko told Corey Parker and Ian Healy.
“I was getting very frustrated. I felt as though we weren’t really playing the way we’d set out to play.
“As a backline group, we get exposed. It was more directed at Harris (Andrews), we were just having a very strong conversation out there.
“I was just letting him know that we’re not playing the way that we should be, and we need a lift from every area.
“We got that, thankfully, because West Coast came out to play.
“We knew they would, but we certainly didn’t respond to a few of their goals early.
“Sometimes you just need to kick the boys into gear, and I thought after quarter time, we were a much better outfit, and that’s the way we want to play our football.”
After surviving the scare from the Eagles, Brisbane are set for a challenge against the Cats at the Gabba this Saturday night.
