There have been plenty of cross-code converts in the realm of rugby and rugby league, but few - if any - have been as successful as Brad Thorn.
The Mosgiel-born marauder forged his reputation as one of rugby league's hardest men through a career that spanned over 200 games and included multiple NRL Premierships, State of Origin triumphs and World Cup winners medals.
He then proceeded to take that same mentality back across the ditch, rising through the Crusaders' ranks and cementing himself as one of the best locks on the planet as a member of one of the greatest All Blacks teams of all time, lifting the Webb Ellis on home soil in 2011.
Thorn then translated his talents to the world of coaching, where his passion for high-performance rose to new levels, resulting a recently released book on that very subject.
The 51-year-old joined Staffy and Gello on Sport Nation Afternoons for an extended 'fireside chat', where he touched on all of the above and then some.
