McGregor vs Holloway, who wins? Volk makes his prediction

Conor McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon next Sunday, and he will be facing former featherweight and BMF champion Max Holloway.
The pair originally met each other back in 2013 where the Irish megastar won by unanimous decision, but since then both fighters careers have evolved into legendary status.
McGregor’s last UFC fight was nearly exactly five years ago where he gruesomely snapped his leg against the now retired Dustin Poirier – an opponent which Holloway beat last year.
When looking at the odds for the highly anticipated UFC 329 five-round main event, McGregor opened as a $3.30 underdog with Sportsbet but has moved to $2.89, while Holloway is currently at $1.40.
Australian UFC legend and current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has made a prediction on the bout, and is “100%” with a certain fighter.
“I’m going to have to go with Max Holloway for the win,” Volk admitted on his YouTube.
“Can it be a finish? 100%. If Max gets you tired, he’s so good at going in for the kill. He’s even getting much better in the pocket – we’ve seen him (against) Justin Gaethe, firing bombs and dodging punches amongst that brawl.
“I think he’s just going to be too much for Conor, and you’re going to see Max get his hand raised, maybe even getting a finish.
“Max Holloway for the win, 100%!”
The Aussie champ is even expecting one of the most improbable outcomes to happen as well, according to the odds.
Volk is of the belief that Holloway to defeat the former double-champ by submission provides excellent value.
“Can Holloway hurt McGregor, get him to the ground and maybe get a submission? You could maybe see that as well,” revealed Volk.
“When people crumble and get really tired, there’s always a submission there.
“Gamble responsibly but there’s probably good, good coin for a submission over a TKO, if you wanted a sneaky bet.
“Because Holloway will melt him, and when he’s melted, is a submission going to be the way to go? Maybe we see that.”
Holloway to win by submission is currently at $12.50, while Holloway to win by KO/TKO is $1.92.
The UFC 329 card at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, will kick off at 7am on Sunday, July 12, and McGregor vs Holloway is expected to take place at 1:30pm.
