Tuivasa-Sheck confirms Warriors tenure over due to ACL injury
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's NZ Warriors career is over.
On Tuesday, the club stalwart took to social media to confirm reports he'd suffered an ACL tear in Saturday's win over the Dragons in Sydney.
The injury brings a brutal end to Tuivasa-Sheck's Warriors tenure, with the 32-year-old set to join the UK Super League's Wakefield Trinity.
"That’s my footy done this year," Tuivasa-Sheck wrote on Instagram.
"ACL confirmed. Tough to accept, but the season goes on. We got something special going.
"Big love for all the messages."
Tuivasa-Sheck becomes the latest Warriors player to join the season-ending casualty ward due to an ACL tear, with halfback Tanah Boyd also consigned to recovery for the remainder of the team's 2026 campaign.
A veteran of 158 first-grade appearances for the Auckland-based club over two separate stints, Tuivasa-Sheck had predominantly featured in the centres this season, with Ali Leiataua and Adam Pompey set to fill that void.
On Sunday, the second-placed Warriors will square off with the Penrith Panthers in a top-of-the-table clash in pursuit of a seventh successive win.
