Tuesday best bets from Luke & Lewis (01/07)
Cam Luke & Mitch Lewis have your Tuesday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Ballarat (Synthetic) in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
BALLARAT (SYNTHETIC)
Race 4 | 3. Albanian Star
Beat She’s Mogul two back and although is a tad worse off at the weights I expect it happens again. She speed maps well to be able to squeeze forward and be prominent, backs up and blinkers on! Not a massive amount of speed so I can see her sitting outside of Minamishima or Radstar or even sitting 1 out 1 back if they zoom more than expected. I think Mogul is the danger even in a BM64 so I have both in quaddie but I expect Star to beat her home again.
Race 5 | 3. Wats Normal
Going to need some luck from the gate but with the short price fav Delivering in the field there will be speed on allowing WN to slot in I think. Wasn’t too bad last start when having no luck when tightened and that run was on the Syntho (Pak) so no concern there. Hit the line well and has won over 1500m before. Absolute Sunshine in the Quad as well after being a mile off Delivering last start and meets him better at weights. They are the three in the quad but I’m with Wats Normal to steam home best.

BALLARAT (SYNTHETIC)
Race 4 | 3. Albanian Star
Looks one of those horses that really finds form through the synthetic season. She was a handy winner here two starts back before a solid placing last start in a similar race. She has a favourable race map in this and expect she settles just behind the leaders which is the ideal position at this track.
Race 5 | 2. Delivering
Looked to find something last start on his first start on the synthetic. He rises slightly in grade but if he holds form from that last start run he should be well in this. Expect him to race prominently in a race that seems to have a lack of early speed.
Race 7 | 8. In Love
SA’s Matt Seyers has had good success in recent times bringing some of his horses across to the Ballarat Syntho including In Love who was a last start winner in a similar level race to this last time. He maps well again and only goes up 2kgs in weight. Big market support also appears encouraging.
