Trade talk: Will two Victorian Swans move on from Sydney?

Sydney could find themselves once again being active in the trade space following Dean Cox’s debut season as coach.
Following last year’s grand final defeat, Sydney has struggled this season under Cox as they sit with a 5-8 record after 13 games.
As Cox tries to establish his best 23, players who featured throughout last season like Oliver Florent and Jake Lloyd have been dropped and playing in the VFL due to poor form.
This was the first time that Lloyd has been dropped since 2015, while Florent is yet to return to the AFL side after being dropped after Round 11.
As a result, rival clubs have increased their interest in Florent as reported by SEN’s Sam Edmund.
And while there have been no reports about Lloyd leaving the Swans, his current deal will finish at the end of the year meaning he could become an unrestricted free agent if he remains unsigned at season's end.
On SEN’s Crunch Time, Edmund would go into further depth about the possibility of those two players leaving the Swans at the end of the year.
“Just a real watch on Sydney as the back half of the year goes on in the trade space,” Edmund said.
“I think they are going to pull the lever on quite a few guys potentially just to reset the list a bit under Dean Cox.
“Ollie Florent is one to watch; contracted until 2029.
“Jake Lloyd, I just wonder if another club might offer him a two-year contract, (maybe) someone in the window looking for some rebound and run from the back half."
Edmund would then explain in further detail as to why Florent could be moving clubs.
“In the case of Florent, dropped after Round 11 and just hasn’t been able to get back in,” Edmund noted.
“And he played 130 consecutive games under the old coach which is quite extraordinary.
“He’s out of favour, that much is clear, out of form too you would take it.
“He’s 26 years of age; he’s absolutely in the sweet spot of his career. He only signed that five-year extension in May of last year.
“Rival clubs have definitely picked up the phone for Ollie Florent thinking they can get him out of there.”
Both players featured in the Swans’ VFL match against Southport on Saturday.
Lloyd managed to achieve a game-high of 38 disposals with a disposal efficiency rate of 86.6%. He also kicked a goal in Sydney’s six-point win against the Sharks.
While Florent had 26 disposals and kicked three behinds.
