Carlton’s Jack Silvagni has a second club showing significant interest, according to reports.
The Age is suggesting that the Western Bulldogs have joined the race for the Blues defender who is out of contract this year.
Silvagni, an unrestricted free agent, has already met with Collingwood coach Craig McRae.
The Magpies have reportedly matched the four-year offer tabled by the Blues, believed to be around $600,000-$650,000.
As such, rival clubs believe 27-year-old Silvagni is gettable for less than $700,000 and the Bulldogs are set to throw their hat in the ring.
The report says that the Doggies have not made a formal offer.
However, Luke Beveridge’s side does need defensive cover for a backline currently consisting of Rory Lobb, James O’Donnell and Jedd Busslinger.
The Dogs and Blues did business last trade period when Matt Kennedy crossed to the Whitten Oval from IKON Park.
