Trade talk: Promising Saint offered "unders" amid recruitment dilemma
It's no secret that St Kilda have their hands full with their off-season checklist.
The Saints' recruitment team have gone all in on Carlton ruckman Tom De Koning, with all reports suggesting that the star man is set to join the club on an astounding $1.7 million long-term deal.
Beyond the ruckman, St Kilda are fighting a battle with both South Australian sides, as superstar Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera flirts with the idea of a return to his home state.
Rapidly growing into one of the competition's best players, Wanganeen-Milera is approaching the end of his current deal at the conclusion of the 2025 season, and having avoided putting pen to paper despite having just three weeks remaining of his current deal, the likelihood of the star shifting across to one of the Power or the Crows grows with each day.
With so much to prioritise and so much money on the table between the two rumoured deals, current St Kilda midfielder Marcus Windhager may have found himself copping the short end of the stick.
Out of contract at the end of this season, the 22-year-old has been offered a deal by the club, however with rumoured interest elsewhere, AFL.com.au reporter and SEN regular Josh Gabelich has declared that St Kilda's offer is far from approval from Windhager's camp.

“Clearly there’s some financial implications that St Kilda are going to have to match for Windhager,” Gerard Healy told SEN Sportsday.
“He hasn’t signed, good player getting better, plays as a run-with most of the time, was released against Melbourne and featured strongly in the miracle at Marvel.”
“I think the offer is unders for what he has produced so far,” Gabelich confirmed.
“That’s the situation because of what they are committing to (with Tom De Koning and NWM).”
Windhager is currently undergoing a career-best year, breaking into the midfield to average 21 disposals and three clearances across his 20 games thus far.
