Tickets on sale for the new-look 2026 Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season
Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season is out of the gates with tickets to Queensland’s biggest racing carnival, going on sale to the public at 10am on Thursday 5 March, with the 2026 edition set to be the biggest in the carnival’s history.
Running from 2 May to 27 June, this year’s Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season expands to seven racedays, following the addition of Tattersall’s Tiara Day (27 June) to the Brisbane Racing Club carnival.
The move means all of Queensland’s Group 1 races will now be staged within Brisbane’s winter carnival, further cementing Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season as the state’s premier thoroughbred racing showcase.
The carnival culminates with the running of Queensland’s most prestigious race, the Group 1 $3 million Ladbrokes Stradbroke Handicap (13 June).
In another major development for 2026, the Queensland Government recently confirmed Seven Oaks Day (6 June) will form part of Queensland’s Mega Day of Sport, a statewide celebration marking 167 years since Queensland separated from New South Wales.
Seven Oaks Day will now sit alongside a packed program of elite sporting events across the state as Queensland celebrates its official birthday.
Sport fans will again be spoilt for choice during Ladbrokes Doomben 10,000 Day (16 May), which coincides with Day 2 of the NRL’s Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium.
Last year’s XXXX Trackside Beer Garden proved a major hit with both racing and rugby league fans, creating a lively cross-sport atmosphere that Brisbane Racing Club expects to build on again in 2026.
The remaining feature racedays — Guineas Day (2 May), XXXX Doomben Cup Day (23 May), and Sky Racing Derby Day (30 May) will continue to showcase the elite racing, premium hospitality and vibrant trackside entertainment that have made Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season a highlight of Queensland’s sporting calendar.
Tickets will be available through Brisbane Racing Club’s new ticketing partner, Ticketmaster.
Long regarded as the carnival that produces future Everest, Melbourne Cup and Caulfield Cup winners, the carnival’s global profile has also been boosted through inclusion in the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s World Pool, the world’s most liquid pari-mutuel wagering pool, reserved for only the biggest racedays across the globe.
Brisbane Racing Club CEO Karl deKroo said the 2026 carnival would bring a fresh energy to one of Queensland’s great sporting traditions.
“Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season is Queensland’s moment to shine on racing’s global stage,” Mr deKroo said.
“It attracts the country’s best horses, jockeys and trainers, while also playing a major role in the state’s tourism and major events calendar.
“Across seven racedays we expect to welcome more than 35,000 racegoers and generate almost half of the racing industry’s annual contribution to the Queensland economy, which IER estimates to be $2.5 billion.
“The carnival will feel refreshed in 2026 with a new marketing campaign, Ladbrokes as our naming rights partner, the addition of Tattersall’s Tiara Day, and deeper connections to the wider sporting landscape through the Mega Day of Sport and the return of our rugby league trackside experience on Doomben 10,000 Day.
“Brisbane will be buzzing across those weeks, and we’re looking forward to welcoming racegoers, sports fans and visitors from across the country trackside for another outstanding Ladbrokes Stradbroke Season.”
