Thursday best bets from Luke & Brown (28/08)
Cam Luke & Campbell Brown have your Thursday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a look at Bendigo, Murwillumbah, Wagga & Rockhampton to bring the Track family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
BENDIGO
Race 3 | 12. Fastoso
There was no doubt getting to the 1400m is a huge tick, as is barrier, as is the superstar Damian Lane. Heavy track always a question but it is over everything else as well. Cavalry the danger who was great on debut and trialled well.
Race 5 | 2. Untethered
Will go control the race after a pretty good run in town last start. Heavy track form is superior to pretty much anything else outside of Valley King (distance question) in the market and McLeod going on is a big tick. Open race as always but this bloke should enjoy Bendigo and win.
MURWILLUMBAH
Race 6 | 1. Emperor
Goes back to 1200m today which I feel it needs after last start! Will be able to camp off the back of the speed and have a late dip! Only go on Heavy was in a tougher race than this.
Race 7 | 4. Castillian
Drawn perfectly to be in the box seat off a decent speed. Gets up on distance which I feels it’s been waiting for this prep. Gets the weight swing off Duck who beat him last start. Heavy slop track won’t stop him. Best of the day!!
WAGGA
Race 5 | 13. Missy Spike
The barrier is an issue no doubt but gets back anyway. Hasn’t had the clearest of runs last couple so deserves so luck when needed is key. Two inside gates will provide speed and the heavy is no dramas so will be rattling home.
Race 6 | 6. Laguna Seca
Bad gate but second up form is delicious and the heavy won’t be an issue. The speed early will help him find a spot and think will be too good late!!

Campbell Brown
BENDIGO
Race 3 | 1. Cavalry
Good debut run in February before being spelled. Trialled up well leading into today. Got through the heavy track at trial no problems. Can win $4.20.
MURWILLUMBAH
Race 5 | 12. Sorrenti
Ran an honest second last start behind former Vic horse and my best of the day at Ipswich two weeks ago. Second up, gun apprentice Jett Newman onboard. Should be winning $1.95.
WAGGA
Race 4 | 3. Karasmatic
Won very comfortably last start at Swan Hill on a heavy track. A month between runs but they have kept the legs ticking over with a soft trial in between. Similar conditions today. Hard to beat $2.50.
ROCKHAMPTON
Race 6 | 4. Roy's Road
Honest galloper who finds a pet trip and favorable conditions today. Good each-way bet at $5.
