'There's no reason for me to hold back': Foran aims to hang up boots on a high with Kiwis

Veteran Kiwis half Kieran Foran may have retired from the NRL, but he still has one final bit of on-field business to attend to before he hangs his boots up for good.
The NZ Kiwis will kick off their Pacific Championships against Toa Samoa this weekend, with Foran set to play a key role for the hosts at Mt Smart.
With Jahrome Hughes ruled out with injury, coach Stacey Jones will likely be leaning on the former Gold Coast Titan's experience and leadership, as the New Zealanders try to reclaim the title they famously won back in 2023.
While the Titans season came to a conclusion a few weeks back, the 35-year-old has been diligently keeping himself primed for what will likely be his final tilt in the white vee, after a mid-season coffee date with Jones that all but assured his selection.

"The moment I had that discussion with Stacey, I realised that although I was finishing up from an NRL point of view, that I still had a job to do at Test level, and that was going to require me to make sure that my training level was still at a really high intensity," Foran told Sport Nation host Sam Ackerman.
"The niggles that I was carrying at the back end of the season have now cleared. I'm in a really good spot physically and mentally.
"I feel refreshed, like I can completely and utterly go out there and throw everything into it now.
"There's no reason for me to hold back, but to chase a victory with the Kiwis is going to take it a hell of an effort."
