The wildcard 19-year-old ruckman North Melbourne must take a chance on in 2025
David King has circled Kangaroos ruckman Taylor Goad as a young player to keep an eye on in 2025.
The 19-year-old Goad was taken with pick 20 in the 2023 National Draft and is yet to make his senior debut for North Melbourne.

Yet King is anticipating big things from the South Australian, even if his appearances are few and far between.
“I’m going to give you a wildcard one, Taylor Goad,” he said on SEN Breakfast.
“You might not even see this guy play a lot of footy this year.
“I’d be disappointed if they didn’t have a look at him this season for a two or three-week period.”
Standing at 207cm tall, King drew comparisons to Sam Darcy and the success the Bulldogs experienced after giving the young tall an extended run through 2024.
“They’re light bodies and at that size they’re a work in progress,” King said.
“But we’ve seen what Sam Darcy’s been able to do, just throw them in, have a look.
“Going up against Tristan Xerri in the ruck and does some things my god… lightning quick, good with the ball on the deck.
“When you see him, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.”
Goad spent his first season as a Kangaroo holding down the fort in the reserves, appearing in 18 games of North’s VFL campaign.
