The two other clubs that Curnow is also open to

The AFL world was rocked overnight after Tom Morris reported that Carlton star Charlie Curnow was keen on a move to Gold Coast.
Although Curnow hasn’t made an official trade request and Carlton are reportedly insisting that he won’t leave, there is real interest from the Curnow camp about a move away from Ikon Park.
While the Suns would be a preference if he were to leave Carlton, AFL Media’s Cal Twomey has revealed that the forward, who’s contracted until the end of 2029, is also open to a move to both Sydney and Geelong.
Given that reports have suggested that Gold Coast can’t see a deal happening, perhaps either the Swans or Cats could make a play at prising the two-time Coleman winner away from Carlton.
“The Blues star, as has been reported, is open to a move to Gold Coast, that’s real,” Twomey told AFL.com.au’s Gettable.
“The other bit we can add to that story is that he’s also open to a move to Sydney and Geelong.
“He’s contracted until the end of 2029, so he has four years remaining on his contract, and Carlton has been adamant that he’s staying.
“I don’t expect there to be a move, and we’ve spoken about Charlie in recent weeks as well, around this capacity.
“But Sydney and Geelong are the other clubs he’d be open to exploring as part of this contract decision.
“It’ll now play out in coming weeks, even though Carlton, of course, have been adamant he’s staying. I still think that’s the most likely scenario.”
The idea behind Curnow’s apparent desire to leave Carlton is to escape the Melbourne football bubble, with all of Gold Coast, Sydney and Geelong offering the forward lifestyle opportunities that he can’t access in his current situation.
“It’s the idea of getting out of the Melbourne bubble,” Twomey said.
“We’ve seen it with Brodie Grundy in Sydney and Bailey Smith in Geelong, who’s of course a business partner of his (Curnow's) as well.
“Then the idea of Gold Coast is the natural inclination of being in a surf coast area, we know the amount of time he spends on the surf coast near Geelong where he’s from with his family.
“It’s an evolving story.”
Carlton coach Michael Voss was adamant on Wednesday that the report is pure speculation and that Curnow would remain in navy blue going forward.
