The emerging superstar the Saints cannot afford to lose
Despite a persistent effort on Sunday, St Kilda was not able to bridge the gap with GWS, falling by 28 points in an intense clash at Norwood Oval.
Conceding eight goals to three in the third term denied the Saints with the Giants' run and spread off turnover proving a killer for Ross Lyon’s men.
Irrespective of the result, SEN’s David King was impressed by the contest between the two sides, particularly noting a key young figure in St Kilda’s side whose top-notch performance oozed class.

“I thought this was a really intense game,” King told SEN’s Fireball.
“There were some bad errors. There were just some cold clangers, but it was a good watch.
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, my god!
“Just strap yourself in! They can’t lose him!”
The 22-year-old half-back flanker has taken a major step in his game this season, averaging 27 disposals, 550 metres gained and a goal per game.
The silky mover is approaching contract expiration at the conclusion of the 2025 season, with plenty of attention expected to arise, specifically from his home state of South Australia.
“I’m in love with the way he plays, when he gets the ball the game changes. I know (Jack) Sinclair had 26 (disposals) but Nasiah’s 24 were far more impactful. He’s kicked three (goals)!" he said.
“I think he came back onto the ground, was supposed to go in the middle but they had too many in there, so he just went forward, thirty seconds later he kicked a goal.
“I think there is so much scope for this guy to be moved around and given different opportunities.
“They played pretty well the Saints, and the margin doesn’t reflect how good of a game this was.”
The Saints are set for a tough three-week span, with the Bulldogs, the Lions and the Dockers to come, however, all three contests are at Marvel Stadium where they tend to perform well.
St Kilda currently holds a 3-2 record which has the club sitting ninth on the ladder after five rounds.
