Kiwi Ferns and Titans captain Georgia Hale has a long-term plan to return to her roots in New Zealand, despite re-signing with the Gold Coast club last week.
“I've extended my contract and I'll be on the coast for a couple more seasons,” Hale told Sport Nation Afternoons on Friday.
The 30-year-old said returning home to play for the Warriors has always been a consideration but she wants to soak up the Queensland sunshine for a little while longer.
“I've definitely found a second home over here on the Gold Coast and have been supporting the Women's Warriors from afar."
Where she is in life for now - balancing work and a semi-professional sport - Hale is content to keep things ticking along.

“I've always got a soft spot for the Warriors and I'm supporting those girls from afar, except when we face them in Wagga at Magic Round,” Hale laughed.
“I would love to come home at some point. I'm just not quite sure yet when the time's right."
She noted the strong team the Warriors have put together for the 2026 season, bringing girls like Gayle Broughton, Mele Hufanga and Stacey Waaka on board.
“What I've loved to see is girls that have really made a mark in the NRLW of recent return home to play for their roots and spend some time back at the Warriors - passing on all the things that they've learnt and proudly putting back on a Warriors jersey.”

Having been part of the inaugural Warriors team in 2018, Hale said she was proud to see the club re-enter the NRLW competition following a four-year hiatus.
“Bringing the Women's Warriors team back in the competition, it's definitely elevated us in the Kiwi Fern space. It is just a drive to represent home.”
