Sinister threat to Simon Goodwin reported to AFL

An online threat made to Demons coach Simon Goodwin after the club’s “devastating” loss to St Kilda has been reported to the AFL integrity unity.
Melbourne had no response to nine goals from the Saints in the final quarter with an incredible Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera goal after the siren securing the biggest comeback after three-quarter time in the game’s history.
The Demons had been 46 points up at the final break.
The threat from an anonymous account on social media platform X included an photo of a ute in a car park with a caption that suggested the person was waiting near the coach’s vehicle to harm him.
"I'm currently waiting outside Simon Goodwin's car; Don't fret fellow Melbourne fans you wont need to worry any further." the caption read.
According to the AFL, the car in the image does not belong to Goodwin, nor was the photo taken at Marvel Stadium where the match was played.
“That is no good at all and we have seen how this ends,” David King said on SEN’s Fireball. “We are active on these things now.”
The threat comes just weeks after Michael Voss was threatened via a text message.
The man who sent the message was banned from attending matches for five years.
An already shattered Goodwin was clearly upset in the post-match press conference.
"Sometimes in your darkest moments can be your biggest growth," he said.
"When you have a last quarter like that, it's a pretty devastated group in there.
"It's a pretty devastated group of coaches, because we're here to win.
"We'll have a look at why it happened, how it happened, and make sure that it never happens again."
