SENTrack: Wednesday best bets at Canberra (26/03)

Racing returns to Thoroughbred Park for the first time since 2025 John McGrath Auto Group Black Opal Stakes Race Day. It was grand final day for the Canberra Racing industry and attracted over 8,700 punters.
Our attention turns to this rare Wednesday meeting and there looks to be some nice horses going around on this 6-race program.
BEST BETS
Race 4 #3 Take The Rap
This talented 3YO was far from disgraced in the Listed Fireball Stakes behind Enriched, who has since finished 2nd behind some filly named Autumn Glow.
He looked to have been right in that 1100m race for a long time and I really like him back to 1000m here.
There is a whole heap of speed engaged, as to be expected in a TAB Federal Open Handicap over 1000m which will let Norm Gardner’s Take The Rap find cover from a wide barrier before going bang late under a light weight.
He has won four of his eight starts and can add to that record here at Canberra.
Race 6 #7 So You Pence
The Matthew Dale stable were patient with this daughter of So You Think, who a fortnight ago was first up after 2 plus year layoff. And that they were almost rewarded immediately, beating 3rd by four lengths and finishing just behind one that I think is quite smart, Xcessive Force.
The only other time she’s lost a race, she finished 2nd behind subsequent Wagga Town Plate winner The Prodigal Son.
Up to 1300m suits So You Pence here and I would suggest she only has to run up to that 1st up performance to be too good here.
