SEN League's Round 11 NRL game ratings
SEN • May 15th, 2025 1:59 pm

Each week, the SEN League team goes through the slate of games across the NRL and rates each game out of 100. The higher the number, the better the game.
The rankings takes into account the teams playing, the watchability, time slot, star power and potential of being a quality fixture.
Take a look at our ratings below!
Newcastle Knights v Parramatta Eels
Friday 6pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium
Rating: 66/100
The Newcastle Knights were sensational for 35 minutes in Round 10 before morphing back into the side that we have seen in the opening two months of the competition. It was arguably the worst performance of the week but Newcastle remain at home and have club great Dane Gagai’s 300th match as motivation to turn their fortunes around.
The Eels may be at the bottom of the ladder but their performances since the return of talismanic halfback Mitch Moses has been strong. They would fancy their chances against a shaky Newcastle side.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs v Sydney Roosters
Friday 8pm @ Accor Stadium
Rating: 83
Timing is everything in sport and this could prove decisive in this Friday night encounter against two old rivals.
The Roosters are fresh off the bye and face a Bulldogs side ravaged by injuries. However, Cameron Ciraldo’s team have proved their depth in recent weeks with several stars out also due to suspension.
This match also acts as the final audition for players like Jacob Kiraz, Kurt Mann and James Tedesco to stake their claims for an Origin jersey.
The Dolphins v The Warriors
Saturday 3pm @ Suncorp Stadium
Rating: 78
The Warriors are having a remarkable season. They sit second on the ladder with a 7-2 record but have a points differential of +1. Andrew Webster’s team will be boosted by the return of James Fisher-Harris and potentially Roger Tuivasa-Sheck who has been named on an extended bench.
The Dolphins were less than convincing with their win against the Eels last week but will be buoyed by home ground advantage in front of what is expected to be a crowded Suncorp Stadium.
North Queensland Cowboys v Manly Sea Eagles
Saturday 5:30pm @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium
Rating: 85
All eyes will be squarely on the halves matchup between the Cowboys’ Tom Dearden and Manly’s Daly Cherry-Evans. Could Dearden usurp DCE for the halfback spot for Queensland in State of Origin? A stellar performance on Saturday night could sway coach Billy Slater’s mind.
The Cowboys have remarkably never won against Manly at Queensland Country Bank Stadium since it was unveiled in 2020. Manly are in the midst of a form slump. Can they get back on track at their happy hunting ground in Townsville.
Cronulla Sharks v Melbourne Storm
Saturday 7:35pm @ Sharks Stadium
Rating: 88
The rivalry may never reach the heights of the 2016 Grand Final but these two sides have had some classic enocunters recently.
Cronulla are yet to prove their Premiership credentials but has been a major positive is Nicho Hynes' return to form in recent weeks. However, Hynes has not defeated his former side Melbourne since he left for the Shire in 2022.
After a few off weeks, the Storm were back to their scary best and piled on 11 tries against a hapless Wests Tigers outift. Ryan Papenhuyzen was electric with four tries including a hat trick inside the opening 16 minutes.
Easily the game of the round this weekend.
Brisbane Broncos v St George Illawarra Dragons
Sunday 2pm @ Suncorp Stadium
Rating: 76
This was circled in at the start of the year as the Ben Hunt v Dragons revenge game but sadly, Hunt is out for an extended period with a hamstring injury.
Instead, it’s the return of Ezra Mam who has served his lengthy suspension for his off-field indiscretions and the Broncos need his spark desperately. Four losses in their past five games has the blowtorch on coach Michael Maguire.
With State of Origin on the horizon and Brisbane’s best players set for representative duty, a win against an inconsistent Dragons side is much needed. St George Illawarra can be world beaters on their day but too often can make basic errors which has resulted in three one-point losses this season.
Canberra Raiders v Gold Coast Titans
Sunday 4:05pm @ GIO Stadium
Rating: 73
On one side, you have the Canberra Raiders who jumped to a 20-point lead and saw it evaporate before their eyes in the second half. On the other end, the Gold Coast Titans clawed their way back from a 20-point deficit to ease the mounting pressure on coach Des Hasler.
Can the Titans go into the nation's capital and hand Canberra back-to-back losses?
Wests Tigers v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Sunday 6:15pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium
Rating: 74
The Wests Tigers’ 64-0 humbling at the hands of the Melbourne Storm was a backwards step in so many ways. The Tigers weren’t expected to win but the contest was meant to be a litmus test to see how much they had improved. It’s clear they are far removed from the cellar dwellers they have been in the past four to five seasons.
They come up against an injury depleted South Sydney outfit who pulled a rabbitoh out of the hat last week against the Broncos. With Latrell Mitchell in dazzling form and the return of try scoring machine Alex Johnston, this promises to be a good encounter to conclude Round 11.
