Saturday best bets from Sebastiani & Taggart (30/08)
Paul Sebastiani & David Taggart have your Saturday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Caulfield, Rosehill & Morphettville in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Paul Sebastiani
CAULFIELD
Race 1 | 16. Ruakaka Raider
Wide barrier after wide barrier after wide barrier has curtailed this horse’s prep. The one time he drew nicely he went back to the inferior ground two starts ago at Sandown. Horse is flying without putting wins on the board. Today is D-Day with Craig Williams aboard and a nice alley.
Caulfield Quaddie
Leg 1 - 2, 5, 6, 15Leg 2 - 2, 13Leg 3 - 1, 2, 11Leg 4 - 1, 4, 12, 15
$96 outlay for 100 per cent.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 4. Captain Furai
Given a sore back and torrid time of it by James McDonald last start. McDonald will want to make amends after getting way too far back and giving this horse no chance in what was a slowly run race. Has the starting price profile in very similar races throughout his career, but this finally looks a solid enough set up where we can see the true ability of this horse.
MORPHETTVILLE
Race 5 | 8. Amber Nook
Forget she has gone around her first two runs this campaign. Both efforts have been over 1400m which is a distance range well short of her best set up. She had a 25-week spell, so she will be building towards full fitness. The barrier and rise to the mile should allow her to settle much closer in the run than last start. Huge price.

David Taggart
CAULFIELD
Race 6 | 3. Tycoon Star
Can turn the tables on the fav Jimmy Recard as he’s now had that run under his belt and strips fitter. Also Jimmy ain’t going to get the run he got last start too.
ROSEHILL
Race 4 | 4. Captain Furai
J Mac couldn’t stuff it up twice in a row surely. But is he as good as he makes out this horse? All his best runs have come on the heavy but have to follow up from last start after what happened.
Race 5 | 1. Travolta
Was brave in defeat against his stablemate Amusing last start after a dynamic win prior to that. Meets Amusing two kilo’s better off and will stalk him all the way.
Race 8 | 5. Wodeton
Resumes and is a star in the making. Just missed out on winning the Slipper when many things went against him and there is a reason J Mac stayed in Sydney this week. Draws perfect and should be winning.
