“Plenty of upside”: Ciaron Maher’s best winning chance this weekend

Ciaron Maher has rated Icarian Dream as the stable’s best winning chance on Saturday.
The two-year-old filly races in the Group 3 Golden Gift (1100m) at Rosehill and Maher believes she is good enough to salute in her second career start.
Icarian Dream was scratched from the Gimcrack at Randwick on October 5 before stepping out with a stylish win at Warwick Farm on October 16.
Maher says the talented juvenile has the ability to run well in the $1 million race.
“She’s got plenty of upside,” he said on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“We thought enough of her to go to the Gimcrack. She wasn’t quite right on the day, but then she won her first time out.
“I think she’ll improve again. Good draw, Jase (Collett) knows her and she’ll be hard to beat.
“I would say Icarian Dream might be my best (for the weekend).”
The Blue Point filly is a $6 chance with Sportsbet for the Golden Gift. She’ll jump from barrier 4 under Jason Collett.
Waterhouse/Bott’s North England, for Tim Clark, is the $3.60 favourite for the race that jumps at 3:30pm AEDT.
