Ali Brigginshaw has called time on a decorated State of Origin career after 13 appearances for Queensland.
Debuting for Queensland 16 years ago, Brigginshaw holds the record for most appearances for Queensland in the women's Origin arena and is considered a trailblazer of women's rugby league.
She captained Queensland on 12 occasions and is a four-time State of Origin champion, twice as captain in 2023 and 2024.
The half also has seven interstate games to her name, played before State of Origin was formalised.
"After many restless nights over the offseason I have decided to end my time in the Origin arena and focus all my energy on the Broncos for the upcoming season, which will be my last in rugby league," Brigginshaw confirmed.
"I can’t put into words what playing for Queensland meant to me. Pulling on the Maroon jersey made me feel bulletproof.
"Historic moments, amazing teams and great mates. Thank you, Maroons family, for all of it."
Brigginshaw has represented Australia on 29 occasions, the second most ever, captaining the side 13 times and winning three World Cups.
She has played 56 NRLW games with the Broncos, including the 2025 NRLW Grand Final victory over the Sydney Roosters, and will retire from the competition at the end of 2026.
