Former Queensland representative Corey Allan has announced his retirement from the NRL after seven seasons.
Allan, who debuted in 2019, played 75 games across his career across the Rabbitohs, Bulldogs, Roosters, and Dragons. He also represented the Broncos at an under 20s level.
While the Super League was an option for the versatile outside back, he has opted to call time on his career after the Dragons decided against re-signing him.
Allan represented Queensland in State of Origin on one occasion in 2020, playing fullback in Game III as the "worst ever Queensland team" completed the biggest upset in Origin history.
He also represented the Australian PM XIII in 2028 before making his debut.
Allan took to social media to announce his retirement on the eve of 2026.
"THANK YOU," Allan wrote on Instagram.
"As the year is about to end, what better time to announce that I’ve decided to finish playing professionally, the opportunity to head overseas was alluring but I didn’t want to do anything I wasn’t 100% in for, so I’m content with my decision.
"I’m so grateful to have been able to live out my dream and till this day I have nothing but gratitude and happiness when I look back at what was.
"To these teams: Broncos, Rabbitohs, Bulldogs, Roosters, Dragons, I can’t thank you enough. Whether I came through your system or played for your club, the values and lessons I’ve received from all of you has shaped me into who I am today.
"I can’t wait to see what life has in store for me."
Allan finishes his career with 18 tries, scoring his final try in what would be his last game in the NRL: Round 27 of the 2025 season for the Dragons.
