Nick Murray “keen to repay the favour” after signing on for three more years with Adelaide
Adelaide key defender Nick Murray has put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension until the end of the 2028 season.
The 23-year-old played nine games last campaign, coming off a knee reconstruction after an ACL rupture late in the 2023 season.
“For them to, I guess, put trust in me, especially after last year doing my knee, it's obviously really good, and I’m keen to repay the favour”, Murray told *The Run Home with Andy & Gazey. *

The extended period on the sidelines for Murray with his rehab allowed him to understand and recognise the changes he had to make in his footy.
“The ten months, you have a lot of time to yourself, and I think personally I grew a lot mentally,” he said.
“Reflecting on it now, I was probably a little bit too heavy.”
The 195cm defender was picked up before the 2021 season as a pre-season supplementary selection and has repaid the faith shown in him by the club with 55 career games to his name.
Currently, in the middle of pre-season, Murray is really pleased with the condition the Adelaide players are in.
“Everyone’s come back in really good condition and really looking forward to what we can do next year,” the defender said.
This contract extension adds to the long list of recruitment and list changes made by the Adelaide Crows in an attempt to get back to September football.
“I’m excited for what’s to come.”
