Nasiah and Tex make contact as Caro doubles down
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Taylor Walker have reportedly made contact in the midst of Caroline Wilson’s story.
SEN’s Tim Watson believes that the St Kilda star and Crows veteran have touched base after it became apparent that there was some uncertainty around Wanganeen-Milera and the Adelaide Football Club due to Walker’s racism incident in 2021.
It has become a bit of a saga.
Wanganeen-Milera’s manager Ben Williams released a statement refuting Wilson’s claims that Walker’s presence at the Crows would deny them any chance of luring the 23-year-old Saint to West Lakes over Port Adelaide.
Watson believes contact has been made between the two players.
“The management team refute that (there is an issue), as they have already put out,” Watson said on SEN Breakfast.
“What Caro was suggesting has already taken place. They’ve already had that conversation.
“They hooked up about a week ago anyway because they started following on social media. I don’t know whether you can draw any inference from that or not, but they are refuting that as strongly as you possibly can.
“Caro might be right, he (Nasiah) may have spoken to other people about it, but he certainly hasn’t spoken to his management team about him having any problem with going to the Crows based on anything Tex Walker has had to say.”

Co-host Garry Lyon cannot see how Wanganeen-Milera’s manager would not be across his client’s desires.
“The manager and the client are supposed to have the closest relationship of anyone,” said Lyon.
“So on what basis does she (Wilson) think that Ben Williams’ relationship with Nasiah is such that he wouldn’t understand what he does and doesn’t want?
“Thats the bit that I find hard.”
Watson continued, saying that Glenelg product Wanganeen-Milera, who is out of contract with the Saints this year, has no problems with the Crows.
“Obviously Caro has sources and she is speaking to people around this story somewhere, but she’s not speaking directly to Nasiah. His management is speaking directly to Nasiah,” Watson added.
“Maybe he’s said one thing to one person, I don’t know where that sits. All I know is that he, according to his management team, doesn’t have a problem with Tex Walker or going to the Crows.
“Let’s wait and see how that plays out.”
On Tuesday night on Channel 7’s The Agenda Setters, Wilson doubled down despite all the doubts surrounding her story.
“I do stand by the story, and I don’t think Ben Williams probably fully knows how Nasiah actually feels,” Wilson said.
“I’m not backing away from it. Nasiah could change his mind but that is what Nasiah has told colleagues and friends. That is the way he feels.”
Walker himself touched on it briefly on Triple M Adelaide on Tuesday afternoon.
“I know Ben Williams so I picked the phone up and called him straight away just to seek understanding and clarification,” Walker said.
“Pretty much (the previous statement from Williams) is what he elaborated to me as well. For me, I don’t really have anything further to say.”
To which Wilson responded.
“This is about Taylor Walker, this is not about the Adelaide Football Club,” she continued.
“I would suggest that if Taylor picks up the phone again he probably should ring up Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera. Because if he is absolutely adamant, as Adelaide people say, that he learnt his lesson, was educated and is truly sorry for what happened…
“I think Taylor should ring Nasiah and tell him how devastated he is by these suggestions and ask him what he can do to fix this.”
Wilson said she made contact with Crows CEO Tim Silvers who insists the story is not true.
But she firmly stands by it.
“I spoke to Tim Silvers today (Tuesday). He was disappointed and he said he didn’t believe the story,” she said further.
“I told him I believed it was 100 per cent right. He said he didn’t believe it and I said he might not know.
“I said last night (Monday) Nasiah had not communicated this to the Adelaide Football Club. St Kilda are aware of it, Port Adelaide is aware it.”
