Quality racing just keeps rolling when it comes to Queensland greyhounds and boy don’t we love it! Despite the Brisbane Cup & Queensland Cup heats being on Saturday coming we have a pretty decent card of racing at Q2 & Q1 tonight. Yes that’s correct, a combined meeting on two tracks at the same location. That’s the benefit of a state of the art facility. Eight races at Q2 Parklands followed by four at the Q1 Lakeside.
Feature races of the meeting are three heats of the Mick Byrne Memorial & five heats of the Carnival Masters. The first race is set to bounce at 6:39pm with the last (Q1) at 10:37pm.
BEST BETS
Q2: R1 N6 TRUE HORNET
Big run in the final of the Maiden Series and was an impressive winner on debut in 30.13. Green type who looked to have plenty up the sleeve, expect this pup to be handy over its career and looks to strike a winnable race. Draw is nice as clipped off heels last week. 8 is well backed but that gives us more value. Back each way all day!
Q1: R1 N2 HARA’S MILLY
Best bet anywhere on any card. Loves Q1 lakeside and is drawn absolutely ideal. Beaten by the 5 a few back but had boxes reversed. Should lead from the draw and take catching. Looks a decent race but one where dogs will need to improve drastically to beat us. $1.90 in from $2.30 shows support.
Q1: R2 N7 WILDASH JANE
Box related play and haven’t the punters stepped in. $6 into $3.50 shows others are as keen as I am. 7 winners from 13 starts at the Q1 and an added 3 minor placings. 8 wins in her career, 5 of which have come from draws 6 to 8. Expect to settle forward, sizzle early and be too good!

Q2: R3 N2 HEATED RIVALRY
Was with him last week, caught wide early and honestly beaten by a better one. Looks to settle close here, draws perfect according to stats and race type anyway. Only win came from an inside draw and placed in 8 of last 10 outings. Can break 30 seconds and looks a tremendous play.
Q2: R4 N3 LITTLE GRANNY
Drawn poor the past 4 starts and finally gets back to a low draw. PB is slick, looks the class type in the race and has early toe. Big drop in class and a vacant box 1, slow dog in 2 makes life a whole lot easier. Has only placed twice in past ten starts and both were wins!
