SEN • June 21st, 2025 12:23 pm

Kane Cornes and David King have analysed every teams’ start to 2025 as the competition reaches the mid-season byes.
Discussed on SEN’s Fireball, the pair take a deep dive into the club’s performance from the first 14 weeks and assess whether supporters should be pleased with how their team has fared.
With Melbourne heading into Round 15 in 15th spot, Cornes and King put the Dees under the microscope.
Simon Goodwin’s side began the year 0-5 and have been disappointing across the first half of the season.

After another tough off-season which saw club greats almost traded away, many believed the Dees were in for another difficult year.
The critics were proved right, with Melbourne slumping to 5-9 and many of last year’s issues remain unresolved.
“Melbourne well season over,” Cornes said.
“We know where their issues are at, we’ve discussed them at length, and the pressure is building not only personnel, but certainly for the coaching situation to be able to solve that problem.
“Need fresh intel they keep seeing the game the same way, and its not changing, they need some fresh intel there,” King said.
