The best Group 1 races are just around the corner which makes it the perfect time to take a look at some futures.
Mick Gannon and Tom Papley from SENTrack's The Sydney Set have a couple of key gallopers they are keen to follow into the spring.
Read their thoughts below:
Land Legend (Melbourne Cup)
"What an impressive performance (at Rosehill last weekend)," Gannon said.
"This is the best futures bet of the spring.
"The key to his Melbourne Cup chances is that he has now shown the ability to settle in the run, whilst this was over 1400m they went slow and after being restrained near last he settled in the run and finished off as well as any runner with 61kg on his back.
"He is a better horse this time in, he SP'd $15 in the Cup last year, if he continues to show the ability to settle, he will be terribly hard to beat in this year's Cup."
Central Coast (Caulfield Guineas)
"The bookies have missed this exciting colt in futures markets," said Gannon
"He was narrowly beaten by the smart Autumn Boy on debut before proving too classy for his rivals at his second start.
"Tipped out for a spell and seen in a recent Canterbury trial, he looks to have taken significant improvement from his break and will be very competitive in a Caulfield Guineas."
Papley added: "I like him for a Golden Rose as well.
"The price differential between him and Autumn Boy is too significant for both races, he is a great futures play."
