Melie Kerr & Jacob Duffy scoop top prizes at NZ Cricket awards

White Ferns skipper Melie Kerr and Blackcaps paceman Jacob Duffy have taken top honours at the 2026 New Zealand Cricket awards.
Kerr secured a remarkable fourth straight Debbie Hockley Medal, underlining her dominance across all formats. The Wellington Blaze captain led from the front domestically and internationally, topping New Zealand’s T20I run charts with 354 runs at 70 and claiming Women’s T20I Player of the Year.
Duffy claimed the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal after a standout season with the ball, taking 25 Test wickets at 16, including three five-wicket hauls in just four matches. He also picked up Test Player of the Year and the Winsor Cup, capping a clean sweep of major honours.

Among other winners, Tim Seifert was named Men’s T20I Player of the Year after a prolific campaign, while Daryl Mitchell took out Men’s ODI Player of the Year following a dominant run that saw him rise to No.1 in the ICC rankings.
Brooke Halliday claimed Women’s ODI Player of the Year, and Henry Nicholls swept domestic honours, including Men’s Domestic Player of the Year.
On the women’s domestic side, Jess Kerr starred with three awards, while Katene Clarke and Kate Anderson were also recognised for standout seasons.

Off the field, Martin Snedden received the Bert Sutcliffe Medal for services to the game, while Jeremy Coney and Haidee Tiffen were inducted into the NZC Hall of Fame.
Milestones were also celebrated, with Suzie Bates surpassing 350 internationals and Sophie Devine reaching 300, as the night honoured both current excellence and lasting contributions to New Zealand cricket.
