Manchester City drop second game in a row as Liverpool extend lead at the top of the table
Manchester City have dropped their second premier league and fourth overall game in a row after a 2-1 defeat to Brighton overnight.

The reigning champions have had a week from hell, with their loss to Brighton adding to the pressure on the team to find some form quickly before their chances for the title starts to slip away.

Another win from Liverpool makes life hard for the other competitors as the Reds strengthen their spot on top of the Premier League table.

Their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa sees them bridge a gap of five points from second position, as well as extend their winning streak to four games.

Despite being the giant killers as of late, Bournemouth couldn’t find a way to get the job done against Brentford away from home.

The Cherries dropped their first game since early October after letting the Bees come from behind twice to end up with the 3-2 victory.

The loss means Fulham were able to jump a game clear of them, after they took care of Crystal Palace away.

The 2-0 victory for Fulham has them on the edge of the top five after 11 matches, with goal difference being the only thing keeping them out of a Europa league spot.

Wolverhampton have finally been able to pick up their first win of the season after defeating Southampton 2-0.

The win for the Wolves sees them leap frog the Saints from the bottom of the table, whilst also edging closer to exiting the relegation zone as they sit one point behind Crystal Palace.

Everton are still not safe from the relegation zone in the meantime, as they couldn’t manage to get the three points against fellow struggling side West Ham. Both sides played out a 0-0 draw.

Manchester United will look to bounce back from their 1-1 draw with Chelsea the week prior with a win against Leicester City. The red devils defeated the foxes a few weeks prior in the EFL cup.

Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side have the opportunity to jump as high as fifth if they’re able to defeat the winless Ipswich Town.

The third place Nottingham Forrest can get within a point of Manchester City if they knock off Newcastle in the early hours of Monday morning.

Whilst Chelsea and Arsenal will wrap up the Matchday 11 action when they face off with each other in what projects to be a massive game.
