Logan Rogerson has officially extended his stay with Auckland FC, signing a two-year contract that will keep him with the Black Knights for the next two seasons.
The 27-year-old forward from Hamilton made a strong impression in the club’s debut campaign, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists across 28 appearances. One of his most memorable moments came with a hat-trick in a commanding 6–1 victory over the Wellington Phoenix.
He came, he scored, and he wanted more. Rogerson’s decision to re-sign comes at a crucial time, with a World Cup year approaching and his eyes firmly on an All Whites return.
“I’m loving being back in New Zealand, loving this team, the fans, and what we have created. I’m settled here, happy here and can't wait to go again,” says Rogerson.
“Things have really worked out. Steve, Terry, and the coaches have a real vision for what we can achieve as a club and although we didn’t go all the way last season, that defeat will ensure we push even harder this season.”

Rogerson began his football journey as a youth player with Hamilton Wanderers before moving abroad, where he gained experience in Finland, Germany, and Armenia. On the international stage, he has represented New Zealand at U-17, U-20, U-23, and full senior level.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, Rogerson believes Auckland FC is the best environment to continue his development and strengthen his case for national selection.
“Playing in a World Cup is obviously a big ambition of mine, playing regularly with Auckland FC gives me the best chance of fulfilling that ambition,” added Rogerson.

Auckland FC director of football Terry McFlynn, who signed Rogerson to the club almost exactly a year ago, praised the striker’s contribution.
“Steve Corica and I were big admirers of Logan. He fit the profile of the sort of player we were after, but also had just the right attitude and temperament. He’s got no ego, just wants to play football and wants to win,” said McFlynn.
“He was a big part of our success last season, a big favourite with the fans, and we’re delighted to have him locked in for another two years.”
Rogerson scored several key goals during the campaign, helping Auckland FC secure the Premiers Plate.
