King questions omission of Essendon youngster

David King has put Essendon veteran Todd Goldstein in the gun ahead of Saturday afternoon’s clash against Gold Coast.
The ruckman was one of three changes to Essendon’s side that faced Fremantle in Round 15 with youngster Vigo Visentini unfortunately missing out.
The 37-year-old Goldstein found his way into the side earlier in the year after ruckmen Nick Bryan and Sam Draper succumbed to season-ending injuries, and he has returned for the clash with a Jarrod Witt-less Suns.
King believed that Goldstein needs a big game in order to justify his selection over a 19-year-old that looks to be a part of the future at Tullamarine.
“I can’t for the life of me understand how Goldstein is back in and (Vigo) Visentini has been omitted,” King said on SEN's Fireball.
“If you are exploring the list then I think Vigo Visentini needs to get another opportunity.
“I would’ve finished the year with him in the team I know they were resting 'Goldy' and all those sorts of things.
“Todd is up against Ned Moyle this weekend, you would think it is a matchup that he should be able to enjoy.
“I’m putting Todd in the gun because if he has a stinker here, we may not see him again.”
Goldstein will be looking to prove a point when Essendon hosts Gold Coast at Marvel stadium from 12:35pm AEST today.
