Former Cat and Crow Josh Jenkins has named his top eight ahead of the 2025 AFL season.
With his top three speaking for themselves, Jenkins explained why he picked the other five teams to play finals.
“I’ve thought long and hard about this and I have wrestled with this so much,” Jenkins started on SEN SA The Run Home.
Check out Jenkins’ top eight in order here.
1 – Brisbane
2. Geelong
3. GWS
4. Sydney
“I'll put Sydney in fourth,” Jenkins said.
“I wanted to have the courage to leave them out, but I just couldn't.
“I'm worried about Sydney. But Sydney can stay in fourth.”
5. Collingwood
“I’ll go Collingwood fifth, I think they’ll be competitive.
“The forward line will be super functional when they get their half-back turnover game going, and that's why I think Dan Houston was such an amazing pickup for them.
“I think they'll be thereabout.”
6. Hawthorn
“Hawthorn I have sixth, but they’ll be fascinating with expectations.”
7. Adelaide
“I have the Crows seventh, but they could miss.
“If they get away to a slow start and the pressure builds on the coach, then it could be an interesting season for them.”
8. Gold Coast
“I’ll put the Suns eighth. I’m bullish on the Suns next year and onwards, but not this year.
“We know Damien Hardwick's there a second time around, and they're only going to get better with their system.
“So, I'm bullish on them going forward.”
