Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson was missing from training amid reports his brother is missing.
On Wednesday morning, Jaryd Dawson's wife Jessica Carter issued an urgent appeal across social media channels asking for information from anyone that had seen or heard from the 35-year-old.
“If anyone has heard from Jaryd since around 2:30pm yesterday (Tuesday) please let us know,” an Instagram story read.
The posts were shared by Jordan's wife Milly and also tagged other family members.
Asked about his captain's absence, Crows coach Matthew Nicks said: “Dawson won’t train unfortunately for personal reasons.
South Australia police issued a statement saying: “Police, with the assistance of emergency services, are currently searching for a 35-year-old man in Robe. We are not providing any further comment at this time due to privacy principles.”
