AFL Hall of Famer and legendary key forward Jonathan Brown has named his top three most exciting key forward prospects in the AFL.
Taking into consideration all of the competition’s best up and coming forward 50 targets, Brown listed the three up and comers that he believes are set to take over the craft in the coming years.
Starting with a Western Bulldogs star prospect, Brown named his top three on SEN Breakfast with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson.
See Browny’s list below:
Sam Darcy (WB)
“(Sam) Darcy is clearly number one, the most valuable one.”
In 2025: Eight games played, 15 disposals, seven marks per game, 22 goals
Logan Morris (BRIS)
“I think what Morris has done is pretty unbelievable in his first 18 months of footy.
“I think you can’t underrate Logan Morris’ effort in the first season of football. To play in a premiership and to just keep better and better.
“The first game he ever played in an intraclub, there was a reserves team against the senior team.
“He was playing on Harris Andrews and Jack Payne and kicked four goals against them, in his first game of footy, weighing about 80 kilos, I thought ‘geez, this guy can play’.”
In 2025: 14 games played, 10 disposals, four marks per game, 30 goals
Riley Thilthorpe (ADE)
“I think Thilthorpe has got the ability, a bit similar to Darcy to take over games with his physical size and presence.
“He has a huge motor as well, his ability to get up and down the field, playing in the ruck.
“I’ve been quite impressed. You talk to Adelaide scouts over there and they say he’s going to be a genuine superstar if he can stay fit and healthy.”
In 2025: 14 games played, 14 disposals, five marks per game, 28 goals
