“It’s iffy”: Are Magpies in real danger of losing top two spot?

Are Collingwood in real danger of missing the top two after consecutive losses?
The Magpies went down in another nail-biter on Sunday, this time losing to Fremantle by one point at the MCG.
While Craig McRae’s side are still two points clear on top and two wins inside the top four with five games remaining, their tough draw home could see them slip somewhat from the top spot that they’ve held for 11 rounds so far this season.
David King and Kane Cornes discussed Collingwood’s new predicament on SEN Breakfast and the teams chasing them for both the minor premiership and an all-important top two finish, which locks in at least two home finals.
King: “Are you worried about the Pies finishing top two now?”
Cornes: “It’s iffy, isn't it? It's not looking like it was three weeks ago.”
King: “Well, they've got a tough draw coming up, I mean, they've got Richmond this week.
“But then they've got Brisbane, Hawthorn, and Adelaide in Adelaide, and they finish with Melbourne. So, they've got three tough ones to come.
“If Adelaide beat them in Adelaide. Then, you would be thinking they'd be taking their place (on top).
“Collingwood in a couple of weeks play Brisbane. So, one of them is going to lose. Adelaide has got an amazing chance to finish top two now.”
Cornes: “Just to see what the capabilities would be for them at the Adelaide Oval is extraordinary, it’s, ‘See you on Grand Final day’, if they finish top two.
“Geelong also have a soft draw as well at home, so it’s interesting.”
The loss to Fremantle was Collingwood’s fourth this season. Their last three losses have had a combined margin of 10 points.
