Injury report: Collingwood star to miss, sorely missed Swan eyes return
Collingwood’s Darcy Moore will miss the Pies’ Saturday afternoon clash with Adelaide after suffering a moderate-grade AC joint injury.
According to AFL.com.au’s Josh Gabelich, the 29-year-old captain suffered the injury during Collingwood's 14-point win over Fremantle last Thursday, with expectations of a return in Round 11.
Teammate Jordan De Goey will also miss the Pies' clash with Adelaide with an Achilles complaint.
Beyond the Magpies, AFL clubs have today released their injury reports ahead of Round 10, with a number of top-level players suffering minor concerns.
St Kilda’s Dougal Howard has also suffered a major injury concern, expected to miss 6-7 weeks with a hamstring issue.
After missing the first seven games of 2025 with a shoulder injury, Howard went down with a hamstring complaint in the final moments of the Saints’ loss against Carlton.
Geelong’s Tom Stewart is expected to return following knee soreness, while Lawson Humphries remains in concussion protocol ahead of their clash with Port Adelaide.
Gold Coast rookie Leo Lombard is expected to make his debut in Darwin on Thursday night, following a shoulder injury that has kept him on the sidelines for the first nine rounds of his AFL career.
Hawthorn will rest three of their senior players ahead of the trip to Darwin, with Jack Gunston, Luke Breust and Lloyd Meek all expected to miss their clash with the Suns. Breust suffered a knock in their win over the Demons and is expected to miss one to two weeks.
Two vital Swans are a test for their clash with Carlton, as Callum Mills and Joel Amartey eye off a return to football following stints on the sidelines.
Mills has missed the entire 2025 season with plantar fasciitis, however, has completed two weeks of full training in anticipation for his return.
Carlton’s Blake Acres (shoulder) and Lachie Fogarty (hamstring) are both set to miss in Round 10, while Mitch McGovern is a test following his chest injury against St Kilda. Alex Cincotta is also a test for his return.
Melbourne’s Jake Lever will return to football this week, expected to be available for Casey’s VFL contest with Southport. The key defender has been absent since Round 3 following ankle surgery.
Thursday teams release on Wednesday at 6:20pm AEST, with the remainder on Thursday at 6:20pm AEST.
