Important Magpie suffers another injury
Collingwood’s Beau McCreery is set to be sidelined for the next few weeks.
AFL Media’s Josh Gabelich is reporting that 2023 premiership player McCreery has suffered another hamstring injury and will miss 2-3 weeks.
The 24-year-old pressure forward sustained a mild hamstring strain in the Round 15 win over St Kilda and subsequently missed the following three games.
McCreery returned in Sunday’s one-point loss to Fremantle, laying a remarkable 15 tackles and picking up 15 disposals in a more advanced midfield role.
His latest injury has been described as a "low-grade" strain.
The top-of-the-ladder Pies take on Richmond at the MCG on Sunday.
