If that was Daicos... WA footy great cries foul over Maynard bump

Glen Jakovich firmly believes the AFL should be sending a warning to Collingwood’s Brayden Maynard over an incident against Fremantle on Sunday.
The Magpies hard man appeared to bump Dockers forward Murphy Reid into the bench during the tense last quarter of Freo’s eventual one-point win at the MCG.
Maynard ended up with the free kick for insufficient intent against Reid who limped out of the carnage.
WA footy great Jakovich has cried foul of the incident, believing not enough has been made of it.
The West Coast legend suggests that if it were a Dockers playing bumping someone like Nick Daicos then there would have been hell to pay.
“Forget about the parameters, the degree or any of that,” Jakovich said on 6PR.
“Just watch it on the naked eye and tell me that he (CEO Andrew Dillon) is derelict in not ringing up Brayden Maynard or sending him a letter with a please explain or to the Collingwood CEO - this is a warning, do not do this again - or a $2000 fine.
“Do you think that looks good on the naked eye? No one is talking about it but us.
“Compare apples with apples, let’s flip the narrative - if it was (Patrick) Voss that pushed Daicos, they wouldn’t have got out of that place.”
Maynard was not cited by the MRO.
Jakovich was also critical of Collingwood captain Darcy Moore’s late knee into the back of Josh Treacy.
“And the one that Darcy Moore did with the knee. You can’t do that,” Jakovich added.
Moore was not sanctioned or fined by the Match Review Officer for what some have described as a non-football act.
SEN’s David King expected on Monday morning that Moore should have been fined for his actions.
“I thought that was crude, that’s no good, we don’t need that happening, that’s a bad example,” King said on SEN’s Fireball.
“It will be a fine at minimum, you’d assume.”
Kane Cornes added: “You’d hope so.”
Garry Lyon was also surprised Moore escaped a sanction.
“This is not a good look for the Collingwood captain, I’m sorry,” Lyon said onFox Footy’s AFL 360.
“I’m surprised he wasn’t given a fine, to be perfectly honest, dropping double knees into the back of (Treacy). There was no reason to drop his knees into the back of as player when he’s in that situation.
“I don’t think Darcy would be too proud of that when he looks back at that. It would’ve only been a fine, I’m not suggesting a suspension.”
