“I’d put my money on it”: Will Da Silva move before deadline?
The Daily Telegraph’s Michael Carayannis believes that the Wests Tigers’ Tallyn Da Silva will move on from the club before the June 30 deadline despite being contracted until 2026.
The highly talented hooker has been named on the bench 11 times this season having been unable to make a make the first 13 as club captain Api Koroisau has started in front of him.

As a result, this has seen Da Silva attempt to pursue first-grade opportunities elsewhere as Tigers’ coach Benji Marshall publicly backed Koroisau over the 20-year-old during a press conference on Thursday.
With four clubs (North Queensland, Parramatta, Newcastle and Manly) interested in signing Da Silva, it remains unclear where he could land if he does leave.
But Carayannis believes that Da Silva will likely leave following the conclusion of Round 17.
“Yep, huge chance. I’d put my money on it,” Carayannis said on SEN 1170’s Breakfast.
“I think this will be his last game for the Tigers.
“Don’t ask me which club (he’ll go to), I don’t know which way it’s going to play out. There’s a fair few meetings to have over the course of the weekend.
“But I think you’ll find that the Tigers have come to terms with the fact that Tallyn Da Silva will play his last game tonight.”
Da Silva appears set to be the latest player to leave the Tigers following Lachlan Galvin's departure earlier in the season, turning what would have been a promising season for Tigers’ fans into chaos.
According to reports from News Corp, it appears that the Eels are currently the favourites to land the talented hooker with Parramatta coach Jason Ryles reconfirming their interest in signing Da Silva later in the show.
“I don’t have a crystal ball. There is some interest from us (in Da Silva) but I think there is interest from several clubs,” Ryles stated.
“We’ll have to wait and see on that one.”
This season, Da Silva has averaged 21 minutes per game and has managed to score two tries across those 11 games.
The Tigers will play the Sea Eagles on Friday (tonight) at Brookvale Oval.
SEN will have live commentary of the match through its radio network and the SEN app with coverage starting at 5pm AEST.
