How can Latrell get Souths the win at five-eighth?

Andrew Voss believes that Latrell Mitchell needs to focus more on his passing game when playing five-eighth this week to ensure that the Rabbitohs cement their spot in the top eight.
Mitchell was already out of his normal starting position of fullback for his return game against the Roosters who was required to shift as a centre to start the match for Jye Gray.
He would then move to the five-eighth in the second half of last week’s due to the halves pair of Jamie Humphreys and Cody Walker both suffering hamstring injuries throughout the game.
In the number six role, he would provide the try assist to Isaiah Tass which would ultimately win the match for his side.
Speaking on SEN 1170’s Breakfast, Voss reckons if Mitchell can provide more of a playmaking role to the Rabbitohs side this week, then they will be tough to beat despite their injuries.
“I want Latrell Mitchell to have possessions as opposed to runs,” Voss said.
“I want him to touch the ball. Certainly, every set Mitchell has to have at least two touches every set.
“He’s the best player in the South Sydney side this weekend.
“So, he needs to have the influence, and he was good last week but just as the same as we put pressure on Dylan Brown at Parramatta and he responded last week, Latrell Mitchell now has the six on his back but he has to play as a leader, a six and a little bit of seven.
“He has to make it happen rather than wait for it to happen around him.”
South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett has given his support to Mitchell’s position change believing that he will be “a world-class number six” for his team.
Mitchell will be captaining the Rabbitohs in the absence of Cameron Murray.
South Sydney will face off against the Cowboys on Saturday afternoon as part of the doubleheader being played at Optus Stadium.
