SEN's new racing breakfast show across RSN and SENTrack
Racing fans are in for a treat this Spring Carnival, with the launch of a brand-new, dedicated racing breakfast show - Get On Spring - airing across RSN and SENTrack stations.
Hosted by two of the industry’s most respected voices - Jason Richardson and Lizzie Jelfs - the show will deliver expert analysis, entertainment and all the latest from the track during the most exciting time of the year on the racing calendar.
Get On Spring will air live from 6 to 8am on Fridays throughout October (commencing October 10), and then go daily during Cup Week, starting Monday, November 3 through to Friday, November 7. On Melbourne Cup and Big Dance morning (Tuesday, November 4), the show will extend to a special three-hour broadcast from 6am to 9am, simulcast on SEN 1116am in Melbourne, as well as across Tasmania, Western Australia, and SEN’s sport stations.
Proudly supported by Sportsbet as the show’s major partner, the program will offer punters and racing enthusiasts a fast-paced, informative and entertaining start to their day, with previews, tips, interviews and behind-the-scenes insights from the heart of the Spring Carnivals in Melbourne and Sydney.
Julian Bayard, Director of Sport at Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) said the new program was further evidence of the network being ‘all in’ on racing.
“It’s exciting to have a dedicated racing breakfast show across the Carnival, especially with such brilliant talent as Jason and Lizzie,” Bayard said. “They’ll provide great insight, analysis and entertainment for racing fans, and then to be able to go daily during Cup Week - the busiest week of the year - really showcases our commitment to racing.”
Co-host, Jason Richardson, said he was excited for the new program to be heard across both RSN and the SEN network.
“Spring Carnival mornings are electric, and we’re thrilled to bring that energy to listeners across the country. Lizzie and I can’t wait to dive into the form, chat with the stars of the sport, and help fans get race-ready each day.”
Lizzie Jelfs echoed her fellow co-host's sentiment.
“There’s nothing quite like Spring Carnival – especially Cup Week - and to be part of a show that celebrates racing at its peak is incredibly exciting. We’ll be bringing listeners everything they need to know - from the mounting yard to the marquee.”
