Healy: The AFL’s hypocrisy continues to confuse people
The AFL's hypocrisy in appointing the Dogg of the Snoop kind is gathering momentum.
Given they fine players for giving the bird, yet the Dogg's untouchable, evidently, despite using a suite of inflammatory words that would get him suspended indefinitely if used by a player on the ground.
Dylan Shiel copped a week, which was spot on, but again, in a show of hypocrisy from my eyes, at least. The AFL continue to allow umpires to ignore push in the backs to an incomprehensible level.
Geelong can't host a final, yet the Suns and Giants can. That one has always baffled me.

Ruck rule and the sub have gone out to the clubs for comment. Do we get rid of the wrestle or enforce the jump?
Well, surely that will be determined by the type of ruck that you have on your list. Will the Swans vote for a jumper when Grundy's a wrestler? I doubt it.
Will the Dogs vote for a wrestler when English is a jumper.
The AFL will ultimately have to come to make a decision, but I applaud the research this time and the consultancy because none went into the decision two years ago to change it.
And that has created this debacle.
Leadership takes many forms, sometimes consulting is worthwhile, but on others, we need a bit of Peter V'Landys, whose style has led their game right from the front, to reinvigorate what was clearly the no.2 game in the land.
I wonder where it is right now.
Yes, consultancy is great, but not at the total expense of independent leadership, which is often required.
But it's not hard to see why people are sometimes confused.
